AgriVigor Green Farms Initiative
AgriVigor Green Farms is a transformative agricultural enterprise designed to unlock Suriname’s vast, underutilized agricultural potential through innovation, sustainability, and community empowerment. A strategic collaboration between Bottom Billion Corporation (BBC) and Interfarms N.V., the project will establish a climate-smart, organically certified farm producing high-value crops such as moringa, turmeric, ginger, cassava, and short-cycle vegetables.
Starting with a 10-hectare pilot and scaling up to 500 hectares in 2 years, the farm will integrate:
-
Solar-powered irrigation
-
Regenerative organic practices
-
Value-added processing of herbal teas and essential oils for export
What sets AgriVigor apart is its integration of FarmOps—an AI-powered, mobile-first farm management platform designed to guide organic production from soil health to market access. FarmOps will be deployed across AgriVigor sites and later replicated across CARICOM and other emerging economies, supporting traceability, certification, and ESG alignment.
More than a farming project, AgriVigor is a platform for economic transformation. It is expected to:
-
Create over 400 rural jobs
-
Offset more than 5,000 tons of CO₂
-
Advance food security and low-carbon development
This initiative aligns with:
-
UNIDO’s Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID)
-
EU-LAC Digital Accelerator’s priorities on CleanTech and Smart Production
-
CARICOM’s regional development agenda
AgriVigor Green Farms is a scalable, replicable model for climate-resilient agriculture, combining technology, sustainability, and inclusive growth. Your support will catalyze a new era of impact-driven farming in Suriname and beyond.
