I am a nursing student at NYU Meyers, currently in my last semester before graduation. Recently, my financial aid was unexpectedly cancelled without any notice, leaving me in a difficult position as I try to cover tuition and book expenses. I recieved no notice and would have basically been left looking crazy start of my semester as a deenrolled student. Being in this financial space has made balancing my studies and personal life much more challenging.
My passion for nursing is deeply personal. I am determined to work in labor and delivery, with a special focus on protecting mothers of color and addressing the disparities in maternal mortality rates. This goal is inspired by my mother and grandmother, who have been my main motivation throughout my journey. Their strength and experiences have shaped my commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.
