For years, the JAMHIYAT-UL-FALAHI-WA-RIDOH (JAFAR) Society of Nigeria, Community mosque has been the calm heart of our community, where kids learn the Qur’an, youths, elders congregate to pray, and families find support in good and trying times. Today, our group still gathers here, albeit under a weathered canopy and inside an unfinished shell. When it rains, our prayers and programmes are disrupted; the canopy leaks, and the bare concrete walls provide no protection from heat or wind. These photographs depict what you would see if you visited our mosque: worshippers standing on mats under a fraying canopy, a half-completed prayer space with exposed pillars and rebar, and an entryway that still needs doors and appropriate floors. Despite these hardships, our community’s spirit has never wavered; neighbors volunteer their time, elders lead prayers, and children come to learn. However, kindness can only go so far without the necessary resources and labour to complete the task at hand. We request a sum of ₦50,000,000 to complete both the mosque and the Madrasah plus Students Hostel beside it, and restore it to its full capacity for our community. Here’s how each naira will be used: Roof, decking, and finishing cost ₦25,000,000 Bathroom and plumbing costs ₦8,000,000. Flooring, prayer mats, and furnishings cost ₦5,000,000. ₦10,000,000 for doors, windows, and security. Electrical wiring and lights cost ₦10,000,000. Plastering, paint and finishing cost ₦2,000,000. Total: ₦50,000,000. Your donation, whether ₦2,000, ₦200,000, or ₦2,000,000, will make an instant impact. ₦2,000 can purchase a prayer mat. ₦25,000 will cover tiles for a row in the prayer hall. Larger gifts allow us to complete important projects (roofing, ablution, or doors) more rapidly. We pledge complete transparency. All funds will be retained in the mosque’s account and managed by our committee. We will post weekly progress updates and images, and receipts will be provided upon request. When the work is completed, we will hold an open day to thank donors and dedicate the finished prayer hall. Please help us restore dignity and safety to our house of worship. Share this campaign with relatives, friends, and our diaspora brothers and sisters – your participation is just as important as your donation. May your generosity be blessed. JazakAllahu Khayran
