Cancer Warrior

About a month a go our family’s life was turned upaide down. During a routine visit to the gp we found out Mom has Cervical Cancer stage 3b. The was totally unexpected as she was asymptomatic. She had just turned 68.

Prior to being referred for further management she had to have other test done. We found out the cancer was pressing on her right kidney as a results her kidney was not working properly. She had to have a stent put in.

A week later were met up with an Oncologist who advised the cancer was unoperable and she would need 6 sessions of chemo (1 weekly) thereafter 6 weeks of radiation.

We are currently on week 4 of chemo. Mom is responding well to the chemo, apart from the hair loss and extreme nausea.

Our family has taken a huge knock financially as this was a complete blinside. We would really appreciate any assistance financially towards her medical bills.
