From Displacement to Hope and Entrepreneurship
Hello,
My name is Eunice Claude Bonamy, and I am reaching out today with deep humility and hope in my heart. I never imagined I would be in this position having to ask for help to rebuild my life. But today, I have no other choice. I was recently forced to leave my home due to extreme violence and insecurity caused by armed gangsters in my neighborhood in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Like many others, I had to run for my safety and the safety of my family. I left behind not just a house, but my sense of stability, my dreams, and the small business I was preparing to launch.
Before the crisis in my area, I had obtained a legal business license (patente) and was planning to start a small mobile money transfer service using platforms like Natcash and Moncash. I had everything ready: my business plan, a strategy to attract customers, and above all, the motivation to build something meaningful. But because of the worsening security situation, I was unable to launch my business. Now, displaced and without income, I’m struggling to meet even basic needs.
Today, I am asking for your support  not just for myself, but for my family. I need $5,000 to:
1. Find a safe and stable place to live where my family and I can start over.
2. Officially launch my mobile transfer business, which will allow me to regain financial independence and stability.
But my dreams do not stop there. I’ve always been passionate about beauty and self-expression. One day, I hope to grow this small business into something much bigger: my own beauty brand, inspired by powerful companies like Rare Beauty or Fenty Beauty. I want to create inclusive products that empower women, especially in communities like mine, where opportunities are limited but dreams are still alive.
This first step, finding a home and starting this small business is crucial. It’s the foundation that will allow me to rise again, slowly but surely. I am not just asking for charity; I am asking for a chance to rebuild, to work, and to bring my vision to life.
Thank you for reading my story. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. I truly believe that with your help, I can find light again in the middle of this dark period.
With gratitude,
Eunice Claude Bonamy
