Help Rebuild Marikina, Philippines: A Fundraising Campaign for Typhoon Carina Victims

At July 24,2024, the Typhoon Carina has left a devastating impact on the Philippines, a Red Alert has been issued for Manila, Quezon City, Pasig, and the Metro Manila area due to the severe weather conditions and the potential for further damage.

With the city of Marikina being one of the most affected area. The powerful storm, with its extremely heavy rains, has destroyed most houses, leaving families without shelter and essential resources. The aftermath of the flood has left the city in a state of disarray and mud everywhere. The situation is dire, and the residents of Marikina are facing extreme poverty, leaving them without access to food.

Our efforts will go directly to families nearby barangays of Nangka, Malanday, and Tumana in Marikina, which have been significantly affected as well. In Tumana, the situation is particularly severe, as some houses caught fire after the flood, resulting in the tragic loss of lives, including beloved family pets.

Our Goal:

We aim to raise $3,000 to provide immediate relief and support for the residents of Marikina. This fund will help in:

• Food Supplies: Distributing essential food items such as rice, canned goods, clean drinking water, instant noodles, baby formula, and nutritional supplements to ensure no one goes hungry.
• Clean-Up Efforts: Organizing community clean-up drives to remove debris and restore hygiene.
• Long-Term Rebuilding: Assisting families in rebuilding their homes and restoring their lives.

How You Can Help:

1. Donate: Every dollar counts. Your contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference.
2. Share: Spread the word about our campaign. Share our story with your friends, family, and social networks.

The residents of Marikina, Nangka, Malanday, and Tumana are not just facing the loss of their homes and belongings but also the heartbreaking loss of loved ones, including family pets who perished in the fires and floods.
