Dear friends and caring strangers

My name is Artem, I’m from Ukraine and I want to tell you my story.

As for many Ukrainians, the turning point in their lives occurred on February 24, 2022… I remember taking my wife and one-year-old son from the city of Bucha, which is located in the Kyiv region, to my parents and then returning to the city of Bucha… Because I am a police officer, although I did not want to leave my family. I survived the occupation in the city…

I returned to live in the city with my family in July 2022, the apartment was robbed and we spent a lot of effort and finances to return family comfort. I do not care about the situation in Ukraine, we managed to do it Our state did not help us financially, unfortunately. In May 2023, my daughter is born 2 small children, my wife does not work, there is a war in the country, it is difficult but we are coping…

Found a part-time job, worked 2 jobs But in mid-2024 got into a traffic accident in a company car I was driving at night and fell asleep from fatigue and the car went off the road and damaged it badly (2 jobs, 2 small children who are sick, just from fatigue such a situation happened)

According to the legislation of Ukraine, I am to blame and I must repair the car, even though it is a company car. I repaired the car at my own expense, but my financial situation has become very unstable because I took out a loan from a bank.

To provide for my family and solve this problem, I voluntarily went to war as part of a police combat unit (in Ukraine, the police also fight) to defend the state because there were no other options to legally obtain the necessary amount of money through my own labor.

But things don’t always go as you want. A lot of funding goes to better ensuring your life and health, war is a very expensive business.

And in the end, my wife filed for divorce and alimony… I pay alimony, I don’t mind it, but it increases my stay at war…

My goal is $7,000 which will go towards paying off my bank debt, stabilizing my financial situation, I need a break from the war, stabilizing and restoring my health and peace of mind. One year of active combat is hard, believe me.

Every donation will be highly appreciated and I hope to return to my family and my children as soon as possible. I really want to see them grow up. Children should not be responsible for the mistakes of their parents. And children should be raised by two parents for full development and personality formation.

Thank you for reading. It turned out to be a little longer than I expected. If you are kind and help me, I will be sincerely grateful to you. I know I am a good person, but unfortunately, this is how life’s relationships turned out. I really want to return alive from the war to my relatives. Thank you for your kindness.
