Hello, woof! My name is Snobunni, pronounced Snow-Bunny, and I need pyometra surgery.
Pyometra is a serious, life threatening infection of the uterus that causes it to fill with bacteria and pus. They say many dogs with pyometra feel very sick with a poor appetite, lethargy, vomiting, and increased thirst or urination.
I experienced all these symptoms and as they gradually grew worse, mommy rushed me to the pet hospital for emergency surgery. I was scared at first because I’ve never been taught the word “sedative”, but my mama held my paw until that funny word made my eyes close.
About Me: I am a 4 year old (self proclaimed) cutest dog in the entire world, and have the best older brother ever, his name is Tank! Mommy always tells me I’m a spunky, strong, beautiful good girl, so it has to be true. Did I mention the cutest dog in the entire world? (Self proclaimed). A few of my nicknames are “My big girl!”, “Chobani” (???), and “Miss Girly Girl”. LOL!
I love to play outside, inside, really anywhere I go, and chase bunnies, leaves in the fall, sometimes littered chip bags…oh, and pull hard on my leash while we go for walks. My favorite word is TREAT. My favorite thing to do is snuggle with my mom and Tank, but my least favorite thing to do is get my nails did. I hate that!
I haven’t felt able to do anything fun or be my crazy self ever since I got sick, and I have to stay here at the pet hospital for 2 days after my surgery! But no worries, mommy told me she’ll come to visit as much and as long as she’s allowed! I can’t wait until my family picks me up to go home so that when I start to feel better, I can enjoy my homemade/”kibble” mix meals!
I overheard the receptionist tell my mom this surgery, and all it entails, is going to cost over $6,700!!! My ears perked straight up I tell ya! Tanks such a good boy, that he contributed $500 from his treat jar. I told you he was the best brother ever.
Thank you for reading and getting to know me. Please send virtual treats and prayers for a paw-sitivly safe surgery and speedy recovery. I’m ready to go for a walk and play with my family.
We appreciate anything you’re able to donate and we will update you as soon as I am home and back to my silly self!
-Miss Snobunni, the Good Girl.
