Frequently Asked Questions

To help address some common donation problems, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions and their answers.

1) Q: My donation isn't displayed on the backer list. Why?

A: Sometimes, our system needs a moment to process and confirm your transaction. While most donations are updated instantly, occasionally there might be a slight delay. If your donation isn't reflected in the campaign's total funds raised within 24 hours, please contact us here for assistance.

2) Q: My payment was declined. What should I do?

A: If your payment was declined, please double-check your payment details for accuracy, such as your credit card number, expiration date, and CVV. Additionally, ensure that you have sufficient funds available and that your bank hasn't flagged the transaction as potentially fraudulent. If you continue to experience issues, consider using an alternative payment method or contact your bank for further information.

3) Q: Can I make an anonymous donation?

A: Yes, you can choose to make an anonymous donation during the payment process. There is an option to select "Donate Anonymously". By selecting this option, your personal information will not be displayed publicly on the campaign page.

4) Q: How can I obtain a receipt for my donation?

A: After completing your donation, you will receive a confirmation email that serves as your receipt. This email contains important information about your donation, such as the amount, date, and campaign details. Please keep this email for your records. If you didn't receive a confirmation email or need a new copy, contact us here for assistance.

5) Q: Are my donations tax-deductible?

A: Tax-deductibility depends on the specific campaign and your location. In general, donations to registered non-profit organizations are tax-deductible. However, donations to personal fundraisers or unregistered organizations may not be tax-deductible. We recommend consulting the campaign details or contacting the organizer for more information about tax-deductibility. If you need further assistance, please consult a tax professional.
