The “Start a Crowdfund” button on the homepage now leads here instead of the Crowdfund creation screen. Here's why, along with next steps if you'd still like to request to start a Crowdfund now.
The automatic “Start a Crowdfund” button has historically had a clear function on the Crowdfund homepage: it’s a button that lets essentially any and all visitors start an online fundraiser in seconds. Site visitors had free and public access to instant Crowdfund campaign creation. However, that “Start a Crowdfund” function as users around the world have come to know it is currently unavailable.
If you’d still like to Start a Crowdfund during this period and would like us to make an exception, you can submit a request for exclusive access to start a Crowdfund so that you may raise money for your cause or project during this transition period. Such access is not guaranteed, and starting a Crowdfund is currently restricted to users whose requests are granted official approval and exclusive access. If you’d like to submit a request to start a Crowdfund during this period, such requests can be made via the contact form:
Here's how to turn your idea for a cause or project into your own Crowdfund page:
Use the Start a Fundraiser button to create your fundraiser page.
Share your fundraiser page with friends, family and social media. Encourage them to add a donation and spread the word.
Get your fundraiser verified by posting receipts from your spending.
